ABOUT THE FOUNDER
His Excellency Khalid Seddiq Al Mutawaa
(Founder/Chairman Karamm Group of Companies)
As a business-oriented person, His Excellency established his own transport company in 1979 in UAE. He later ventured into Austria with a 500-employee furniture company in 1982. Since then he has been very active in business by establishing and/or sponsoring a number of both local and foreign companies in the UAE.
His interest in arts and culture was so strong that led him to engage in trading antiques and precious collections in 2002. He also partnered with Alfaro Watches in Geneva in creating several luxury watches for the UAE in 2003. With his strong purpose of focusing his business portfolio on arts and sustainability as his main contribution to Abu Dhabi’s culture and tourism industry, he opened Etihad Modern Art Gallery and Art House Café in 2013. It is for this reason that the group of companies holds a strong brand in UAE as a champion of arts, culture, and sustainability.
